The Story of a tree with a lot to say. Illustrated in Glass.
A Tree of Many Tales is a children's story, written in poetry format, by Amanda Edwards. Illustrated in stained glass mosaics by eight incredible artists!
A tree sees a lot...
.. and this tree is ready to share it's tales! Inspired by an oak tree on the estate of Abbotsford House, in Melrose Scotland, this is a story told by an Oak tree, of some of the things it's seen over the past 200 years. It's a story of the landscape, animals, people, River Tweed, birds, and insects, but there's more that this tree sees. This Oak also has tales rooted in Scottish folklore that it wants to share with those who will listen!
**Glass illustrations**
Yes, ALL illustrations will be created in glass. This undertaking will take hundreds of hours of work. The grand Oak tree tells tales of the soft and snuggly variety, but also of the mysterious things it sees at night!
Thirty-five pages of Glass Illustrations are being created by eight artists, from four countries: Linda Biggers (USA), Carrie Bracker (USA), Amanda Edwards (USA), Frances Green (Switzerland), Kirsten Kramer (Germany), Mandy Stultz (USA), Susan Sucheki (USA), and Adriana Zoon (Netherlands)
